Information on the RGCMS
The RGCMS was created to be a versatile and user friendly content management system. After working with several CMS packages out there, I decided that I'm going to make my own, with the main idea behind it to be usable by people who are not web developers or programmers themselves. In other words, extremely simple and user-friendly to use.
The strength of a CMS lies in the ability for the owner of the website to be able to make changes to the content of the site. Stuff like adding new pages, editing existing ones and deleting pages. All of this is done in a very easy to use administration panel, with clear on-screen instructions on what each thing does. Content is edited with simple text fields, or, if needed, the extremely popular CKeditor, a WISYWIG (what you see is what you get) editor. If you can use Word or other similar word processors, you'll feel right at home here.
Custom modules (or some might call them "content types") can be created to suit the clients' needs. For example, let's say you require a photo gallery - this can easily be setup, and if the user requires unique fields or functionality, that can easily be created.
Because we created the RGCMS ourselves, we know the system inside out. This shortens development time and thus reduces costs. If you plan on having more than 7 or so pages, or need to make changes regularly (weekly or even daily), then a RGCMS might be the best option for you.
